Ten minutes away from the Coghlan Castle. This is the only place in North Dakota that showcases this unique building style. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

   

35 miles from the International Peace Garden, 2,339-acre botanical garden commemorating peace between the United States and Canada along the world's longest unfortified border. It blooms with more than 150,000 varieties of flowers and showcases the Peace Chapel.

 

40 minutes away from the Lake Metigoshe State Park-One of the most visited year-round vacation spots in North Dakota. This park was constructed by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) in the 1930s.  

 

Wakopa Wildlife Management Area - The 6,800 acre Wildlife Management Area (WMA) offers a variety of experiences to visitors. From lakes and wetlands to forest to prairie this WMA is an ideal area for nature study, photography, hunting, fishing, hiking, canoeing and primitive camping.

 

35 minutes to Mystical Horizons - This modern day Stonehenge was designed by local engineer Jack Olson and enables visitors to view the summer and winter solstices and equinox. The site offers a panoramic view of this four seasoned landscape.

 

Enjoy a quiet drive on the Turtle Mountain Scenic Byway that begins 3 miles north of Rolla to St. John and proceeds west on County Highway 43 to State Highway 281. Continues west on State Highway 43 until it terminates on State Highway 14.
