From lakes and wetlands to forest to prairie this WMA is an ideal area for nature study, photography, hunting, fishing, hiking, canoeing, primitive camping, snowmobiling and much more!

Your hunting furry helpers are welcome and pet fees are waived during the hunting season. 

Snowmobiling

Listed as one of the best snowmobiling areas in North Dakota The Peace Garden Trail  includes Rolette county. In the north-central part of the state, trail runs through the Turtle Mountains, creating a beautiful scenic ride. This trail system connects with the Canadian trail system at Carbury Port and at the International Peace Garden. Hop on the trail right from our parking lot for an enjoyable relaxing day away from the city life on the peaceful praires!

             Fishing

of the best fishing in the country.

Walleye, pike, muski, perch,

bluegill, bass and trout can be

found in the many lakes

throughout Rolette County such as Lake Upsilon, Gravel Lake, Dion Lake, Jarvis Lake, Belcourt Lake, Jensen Lake, Carpenter Lake, 

School Section Lake

and many more!
